Now that someone has mentioned Zen, let's put on my hat as bookkeeper of Holy Trinity Church Bradford on Avon. Until not so long ago, we were using Zen internet, and I don't recall having had any problems with them, at least none worth remembering. We then tried to get a phone number transferred into the church office, and this was through BT, and as we went for a digital phone line to be future-proof, naturally we were given BT Broadband as part of the deal. The Parish Church Council (not me!) decided to give up the Zen broadband, as we don't need two broadband connections.. Our first attempt to get the phone number transferred was in February 2024, and just a few days ago, BT Business finally managed to fully resolve a complaint we raised against them in late May 2024 that, last summer, made it through the Communications Ombudsman Scheme. To be fair, the complaint had nothing to do with their broadband provision which works fine (except when they temporarily cut us off for not paying them for the service they didn't provide). I won't bore you with all the details. Just to say that communication is definitely not a strong point of BT, nobody there talks to anyone else, and if you're phoning them up, it's pass the parcel and a complete waste of time. I wholeheartedly recommend the Ombudsman Scheme, as this gave us a dedicated staff member at BT I could liaise with over e-mail and who proved to be really helpful over a period of 10 months. Dear Friends,
For many years Zen has come out on top for the best Broadband Provider. Cheltenham Meeting changed to them from BT which has a very poor rating within the last year. Everyone seems happy with the result.
- Perhaps Littlehampton ask if any of your Meeting subscribe to Which? And get them to give you the run down on the various providers.
I personally use them at home for telephone and Broadband, and they are much cheaper than BT. I am a technophobe, and on the very rare occasions I have had to phone them, I can understand what they say to me!
In friendship,
Virginia.

Hi Nick,
In Bradford on Avon we're with Your Co-op (formerly the Phone Co-op). It's actually a residential contract rather than business, which I moved from my home when arriving in Bradford on Avon as Warden in 2012. Since 2021, we're on the 'Unlimited Superfast Plus' broadband supply and paid a bit of extra for the best router rather than the standard one. The wifi router sits in my flat, just above our main meeting room, and offers good coverage almost throughout the entire building. The only exception is our small meeting room. For this we use a plug-in wifi range extender that cost about 20 pounds.
All pretty good and reliable. Most importantly, you actually get to speak to a real person here in the UK when you do need help.
Best wishes,
Klaus Huber

Dear friends,
We are currently looking into installing WiFi at Littlehampton. The choices are a little overwhelming. Does anyone who already has WiFi have a recomendation?
Many thanks,
