Hello all,
I wonder if anyone knows if there is any sort of record of what each AM is offering in terms of wages/benefits for their wardens and associated staff?
Seeing the job vacancies coming through over the last bit of time, I am intrigued by some of the differences across the country, and also wondering if there is a standardised guidance from BYM?

Dear Wardens et al,
We have two part-time vacancies coming up at Winchester Meeting House, Hampshire https://winchesterquakers.webs.com/

Live-in Caretaker-Warden, 20 hours per week, working mainly Fridays and Saturdays, and some evening work. Remuneration is £11/hour, less a modest accommodation off-set for occupancy (including all utilities and council tax paid) of the Warden’s flat in our Grade II listed building. The flat is furnished, and has one bedroom, lounge, kitchen and bathroom. It is possible for a couple to occupy this flat. It has views of the garden, Cathedral, and Wolvesey Castle ruins. The Meeting House is a venue for room-hire, and home to seven tenants, as well as Quaker activities. The role includes security duties, assisting visitors and users of the building, possibly some basic maintenance/gardening. Relevant experience is required.

Administration and Communications Assistant, 6 hours per week, £11/hour, providing support to the Warden-Manager and the Meeting Clerk, including work with paper-based, electronic and online documents, updating information displays, production of a weekly newsletter, updating of website and social media pages. Digital skills and experience of office work are required.

IT MAY BE POSSIBLE FOR ONE CANDIDATE TO CARRY OUT BOTH ROLES. The Caretaker-Warden role could be a job-share.
Please request an APPLICATION PACK from winchesterquakerwarden@gmail.com, before applying for either or both roles. The employer is Hampshire & Islands Area Quaker Meeting.

If you would like information in a particular format, please let us know.

Once you have read the application pack, apply by email to winchesterquakerwarden@gmail.com, by 9am Monday 21 August 2023.
