Hi Martin
When we had our hearing loop installed, they hung an omnidirectional microphone from the centre of our ceiling.
I’m not sure whether this is the cheapest option but it
seems to work well.

Subject: [wardenship] Omnidirectional boundary microphone
Bit of a technical question:
I'm in the process of assembling a loop amplifier system in our second largest room and am looking for a suitable OMNIDIRECTIONAL boundary microphone to site on a table in the middle of the room to pick up speech. The furthest point from the table would be
around 8M and the lead from the mic to the amplifier needs to be 4M long.
I'd be interested in other Meetings experience and feedback before spending money.
Oh, and the budget is tight, so a readily available second hand unit would be preferable.
