Alison and I have completed our time as wardens at Pickering at the end of March. So after 20 years I just wanted to thank all the lovely people who are part of the wardens community around Britain for their support and loving care over the last 20 years, and especially Oliver for all his guidance in recent years and thru the covid times. And bizarrely our little Meeting in North Yorkshire has more active Friends now than when we moved to Yorkshire from Birmingham! 

Service to Friends, and local communities, through stewardship of our buildings continues to be one of the great gifts of service we can give whether we are paid employees, volunteers, concerned Friends and many other roles. It has been a pleasure to be part of this group.

Take good care of yourselves Friends and hopefully the next wardens at Pickering - Jon and Neil will feel a part of the same community
