Meeting House Matters
in-person events in 2024

Hello Friends,

Quaker Life is going to hold three in-person Meeting House Matters events in 2024. Meeting House Matters is a network of support for employees, workers and Friends involved in running and managing Quaker premises.

Quaker Life sees this as a key method of sharing support, guidance a good practice amongst the community of wardens, managers in our premises.

The in person events in 2024 are as follows:

  • Tuesday, 16 April in Bradford-on-Avon
  • Tuesday, 25 June in Lancaster
  • Tuesday, 19 November (South East venue TBA)

All in-person events run from 10am (start at 10.30) to 4pm. To book please use our online form, https://forms.quaker.org.uk/mhm-24/. There is no cost to attend but you will need to bring lunch for yourself and make your own way to and from the venue.

This year we have an overall theme of sustainability. This will be explore in the broadest terms looking at the sustainability of our communities and buildings to being more sustainable in our practice around energy use, the environment and how we use and manage our buildings.

Each event also has a blended session bringing in people online for some shared learning. There is a specific session delivered in this slot which may or may not be directly connected to the overall theme.

We very much look forward to welcoming Friends from across the yearly meeting to Meeting House Matters. Please share this with Friends in your community who it may be of interest to. A reminder of the booking link.
