Hello Friends,
I've got a query about renewing a contract for Resident Friends Volunteers from a client. The renewal means there is a new voluntary agreement signed by both parties, and this agreement has a fairly non-specific ending date - as did the previous - 'not more than xxx years'.
However, the license to occupy doesn't have an expiry date, it says,
The licence conferred by this agreement shall be determinable:
(a)Automatically, without any separate notice, on the termination of the Resident Friend Volunteer Agreement;
So, we've had a discussion about if a new license is required if the previous agreement hasn't terminated, but has been renewed.
I remembered what happened when I was at Muswell Hill, but that was over a decade ago now. So I thought I'd ask the all-knowing group!
What do you do in your meeting?
Yours in peace,
Wendrie Heywood
