Dear Martin, At Brentford & Isleworth we needed a similar thing about a year ago - having done some research we settled on an Edis EC102, which has been working very well here. It's findable for between £35-£45, and while I'd imagine you'd probably need to buy a cable separately for that length, it has the option of a micro-USB or a 3.5mm jack connection so cables should be relatively cheap to buy, £5ish? It also has Bluetooth capacity, so a wireless connection is possible to use too if that's something The only hangup is that the advertised maximum range for the EC102 is 6m in any direction (assuming the Zoom sensitivity etc is set up well.) There is a newer model, the EC104, which I believe has a longer range and doesn't retail for much more. (https://www.edis-audio-visual.com/products/conference-systems/speaker-phones... has full data sheets etc for each one.) Those seemed to be the best options to us to fit our spec, which was similar than yours. Anything above (e.g. Shure or Audio Technica's equipment) either started reaching triple figures in price, or used an XLR cable which wouldn't have suited us. I hope there's something helpful there! Bit of a technical question:
I'm in the process of assembling a loop amplifier system in our second largest room and am looking for a suitable OMNIDIRECTIONAL boundary microphone to site on a table in the middle of the room to pick up speech. The furthest point from the table would be around 8M and the lead from the mic to the amplifier needs to be 4M long.
I'd be interested in other Meetings experience and feedback before spending money.
Oh, and the budget is tight, so a readily available second hand unit would be preferable.
