Blended Meetings (in response to Jane Keay's query):

Here at Bury St Edmunds Meeting we seem to have settled into a Blended Meeting regime that is acceptable to most Friends. Every Sunday a Zoom MfW is available for those Friends who cannot come to the Meeting House, but every fortnight  those at home are blended with MfW in the Meeting House. During Blended Meetings, we don't project the images of those at home onto a screen, but have our TV set (32 inch) on a stand, which is not too obtrusive. We also have small webcam and an unobtrusive multi-directional mic (part of our hearing loop equipment).

With this arrangement, Friends who are not comfortable with the presence of technology have the option of a tech-free MfW every fortnight and blending with those at home on alternate weeks means we don't lose contact with eachother. I estimate that usually about 25% of our members opt to join a Zoom Meeting rather than attend the Meeting House.

Dear Wardens, Resident Friends and others overseeing Meeting Houses,
I have a quick question please.
At Watford Quaker Meeting House all our MfW on Sundays are Blended.
We have a large screen with roughly 30 - 50% of Members and Attenders =
joining on Zoom.
Since Covid this has always been the way.
As a Meeting we are very split, some dislike the screen in the hall and =
are seeking alternatives
and others see inclusivity as the future .

How are other Meeting Houses addressing the issue of Blended Meetings ?=20=

Just a few lines would be helpful. Watford Meeting have a full =
discussion on the 26th March.
I hope this is ok to ask this, I realise it is not about buildings and =
employment but as a Warden I feel I need some clearness.
In Friendship,
