Re: Care of Quaker Library Books

Dear Ann, I've passed the message on to our Librarian, in case she has wisdom to offer (she has wisdom but maybe not relevant here!). In the meantime, might you consult the Librarians at Friends House? In friendship Penny Ware Amersham LQM Premises committee

The Meeting House boiler hasn’t worked since February 2024 and there is concern for the Library books which are becoming damp due to the cold / lack of heating. I think all that Friends can think of for now is that as many books as possible can be shared out and stored at the homes of those who are able to accommodate them.
Has anyone else ever had this kind of problem? Anyone any other ideas?
I can pass any information on to the relevant Committees. Many thanks, Friends Ann Turner (ex warden) Scarborough Local Meeting
