Wanstead Meeting has, for maybe a year now, served only plant based 'milk' with tea and coffee after MfW as part of our "eco-church" commitment. It has been controversial (people sneaking in cows milk 'under the counter'!) but we have stuck with it so far and is a good stimulus for conversation. There are explanation signs put out on the counter explaining why. We also try to use only Fairtrade Products. Both were decisions of the Local Business Meeting. We may want to have signage explaining why we prefer only plant based food. I would also suggest that we don't allow uncooked meat and fish to be in our kitchens. We are wondering have any other Meetings made a similar move ? And if so what was the response of your Meeting and hirers.
