Query about Council Tax
Dear Wardenship Friends I have been asked to post the following question on behalf of a member of the group: For those who live in Meeting Houses, what arrangement do you have for paying Council Tax? At Ipswich, we have a resident warden in tied accommodation. The warden is responsible for their own council tax, utility bills and contents insurance, the rest is the responsibility of the Area Meeting. It is a separate address for metering and council tax purposes, although in practice the post comes to the Meeting House letter box with the Quaker mail. Here at Bristol Central the Meeting pays the Council Tax for the flat we use.
